Crown & Bridges

Porcelain Crowns may be recommended by Dr. Zimmerman to completely cover and protect teeth that have had extensive damage or replace missing teeth with results that improve function, health and appearance.

Crowns cover or “cap” a tooth to restore the normal function and natural appearance of the tooth. Crowns may be constructed as all metal, porcelain fused to metal, or all-ceramic (porcelain). A crown may be recommended for fractured, discolored or badly shaped teeth or for teeth with very large fillings or a root-canal. A traditional method to replace a missing tooth or teeth is with a bridge. Bridges look like individual teeth although there may be several teeth in one bridge.

This patient had worn, discolored and rotated teeth. We were able to restore his smile with a combination of four porcelain crowns and two porcelain veneers. He was very pleased with his new smile.
